A Real Hot Spot in Red Bluff...
"I think that I shall never see, a pool as lovely as a tree..."
A few days ago, I couldn't help but notice that the playground in
the Red Bluff River Park has been drastically changed by the
cutting of the trees that bordered the sidewalk.  Someone has
certainly been busy...now six trees are gone and 2 more are
pruned and look like they are next to go.  I spoke to people in
the park about it and no one liked this new look.  They felt
sentimental about the trees, and wondered if there was any
other way the city could have saved the McGlynn pool.  One
lady pointed out that the trees' roots were far, far away from
the pool.  Take a drive through and look for yourself.  Let's
hope that the donations made to save the pool didn't pay for
this.  Have you ever read "The Giving Tree" by Shel Silverstein?
Now is a great time to do so...
Boy hugging a
non-existent tree.
Without
any

is the
hottest
worm in
Red Bluff...
Honestly,
don't
touch him
or you'll
burn your
hand!
