A Trip to the Red Bluff Farmer's Market...

There were many interesting booths to look at this year.
Here is just some of what we saw while we were there.
This child's mother sat him on this quad for a
photo and he didn't want to get off.
I observed that the quad worked better than a
playpen...each time she tried to lift him off, he
hung on for dear life.
Now this is a real boy!
The quad is being raffled off by PATH,
an organization that helps the homeless in
Red Bluff.  Tickets for the quad are $10 each
or three for $25.  PATH is also raffling a
Yamaha electric piano ($25.00 per ticket).
This organization desperately needs
everyone's help...and now everyone
can help!
They have a $1.00 a month club.
"A little bit of help from a lot of people
makes a big difference!"
Alarmed at the color of my children's arms,
we wandered over to Kremer's Chiropractic
booth to see if an adjustment might help.  The
man I spoke to said that the problem appeared
to be genetic, with two sufferers in the same
family.  I wondered if it was caused by a
circulatory disorder...that this might be the
cause of the green color.  He said that this
wouldn't account for the growth of eyes on
their hands.
I liked these friendly people...
they weren't stuffy at all!
Kremer's is offering a special for new clients
who stop to talk to them at the Farmer's Market...
a complete chiropractic evaluation, valued at
over $200, for only $17.00.
Now this is a slight exaggeration...
Typically, vegetation will take longer than one day to germinate, sprout and
produce a crop.  It's only the weeds that grow overnight.
No one plants these.
Maybe there wasn't room to write all this on the sign?
These are the things I peruse in my free time.
Makes me slightly worried as I was informed that most chiropractic problems begin
within the brain.  I'm concerned to let anyone know too much about my brain!
My mind is like a long and winding hallway which may in fact be circular,
leading nowhere.  Did you lose me?  Don't worry...I'll be back in a minute.
I'm right behind you.  Don't attempt to follow me.
Life is not really a race where you should be following others anyway;
it's more like a treadmill.  Just keep running.
Don't stop or you'll fly off the back-end.

This totally non drug-induced rant springs from a sleep deprived mind.
It's always fun to write something at 2:AM and then read it the next day.
Scary to consider...to some people, this little outburst makes perfect sense.

How far off the original topic can I wander you may wonder.
Hmmm...maybe it
is time to see the chiropractor.
Just last week,
we saw Red Bluff firefighters in action when a
garage caught fire on Locust Street.
Debris caused another nearby grass fire.
It was most impressive how quickly they
showed up and did their job.
Right now, local firemen are trying to get an
increase in their salary.

My own thought here...I'd hate to see a
firefighter try to work two jobs to support a
family.  If you've ever been in that situation,
you know how the fatigue can wear you
down.  Firefighters need to be at the top of
their game, ready to make good judgement
calls.  Remember, they don't just fight fires!
Once, we had an injured family member and
had to call 911.  Firefighters arrived several
minutes before the ambulance, taking control
of the situation, helping to save a life!
They are trained to handle all kinds of
medical emergencies.

Here is their website.
