2007...The Year of the Tire
BC Tire has a huge tire that they decorate throughout the year. It's always fun to see what they'll do to it next. I really like having something interesting to look at when I drive by. You'd think we were driving by Disneyland the way my kids whoop and holler at it. This tire is enjoyment for the rest of us...you know, those of us who didn't send out cards to our friends bragging about all trips we took...because we didn't take any. Why do people do that? We heard about the vacation before you went and then when you got back, do we really need to be told again? My family Christmas letter, if I chose to write one, would be much more interesting and filled with everyday happenings that everyone can relate to, detailing how the flu swept through our family or how the dog chewed up Daisy's dollhouse (more on that one later).
Nothing says "I love you" like a BC tire.
I'm convinced I'll have good luck all year after looking at this. Jonah said that it made his mouth water for a bowl of Lucky Charms.
My kids said that they'd like to meet the bunny who laid this one.
I think this one wins for best paint job.
Not every day can be a holiday... back to work!!!!!!
Very original. |
Deck the tire. Deck the street.
What is most amazing about this tire is that all of this year's designs were new. This business has some very creative employees. Kudos for making Red Bluff more personable and interesting. If you want to read about how this tire- painting tradition started, click here. Happy New Year!
If you want to see it, you'll have to visit it during the day, because they lock it up at night. Good thinking because lots of people want a big tire... especially one that's decorated. However, if some grinchy person did steal it, good luck finding 3 other tires that match.
