"Around Red Bluff in the 1970's"
is a great coffee table book.
Every Red Bluff waiting room
should have one of these.

Here are just a few of the photos
from the book, taken by Colin Davies, Red Bluff
Daily News photographer in the 1970's.

The photo on the right tells of a different
era, one where kids could safely be
gone all day.  These kids didn't have
cable television at home.
In the 70's, we didn't have CD's, DVD's, VCR's,
Nintendo's, Playstations, computers...

Odd that we didn't have any of these things
and yet these boys look happier than any I've
seen in a long time.

I loved the photos and the
stories from this 200+ page book.
 Read the heartwarming story on
the right.
A firefighter needed support
and everyone in Red Bluff
rushed to give it.
I guess that history really
does repeat itself.

Thank you, Colin, for
creating this pictorial that
truly captures the personality
of our town.

The book is for sale at various
Red Bluff locations,
including Walgreen's.

The author will be at the
Tehama District Fair.
